    Moderate Flood Warning For The Baffle Creek And Minor Flood Warning For The Kolan River

    MODERATE FLOODING POSSIBLE AT ESSENDEAN BRIDGE FROM SUNDAY MORNING
     MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT BUCCA WEIR FROM OVERNIGHT SUNDAY INTO MONDAY
     Heavy rainfall was observed across the Baffle Creek catchment overnight Friday into Saturday which has resulted in creek level rises. Levels along the Baffle Creek are rising, with minor flooding likely at Essendean Bridge from overnight Saturday and moderate flooding possible from Sunday morning. Further moderate to heavy rainfall is forecast for the next few days, which may result in further rises.
     Moderate to heavy rainfall is forecast across the Kolan River catchment, which may result in river level rises and minor flooding at Bucca Weir from overnight Sunday into Monday. 
     This situation is being monitored, and this warning will be updated as required.
     A Flood Watch is current for most of Queensland.
    
    Kolan River:
    Minor flooding is possible along the Kolan River at Bucca Weir. 
    The Kolan River at Bucca Weir is currently at 16.27 m AHD and steady, below the minor flood level.
    The Kolan River at Bucca Weir may exceed the minor flood level (17.50 m AHD) from overnight Sunday into Monday. Further rises are possible with forecast rain. 
    
    Baffle Creek:
    Moderate flooding is possible along the Baffle Creek at Essendean Bridge.
    The Baffle Creek at Essendean Bridge is currently at 2.22 m and rising, below the minor flood level.
    The Baffle Creek at Essendean Bridge is likely to exceed the minor flood level (5.00 m) from overnight Saturday into Sunday. The creek may reach around the moderate flood level (6.20 m) from Sunday morning. Further rises are possible with forecast rain. 
    
    Flood Safety Advice:
    Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
     Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
     Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
     Check the ABC and local media for updates. The situation can change quickly, so stay informed.
