    Minor Flood Warning For The Flinders And Cloncurry Rivers

    MINOR FLOODING EXPECTED TO BE OCCURRING AT RICHMOND
     MINOR FLOODING LIKELY CLONCURRY FROM LATE TUESDAY AFTERNOON
     Moderate to locally heavy rainfall has been observed in parts of the Flinders and Cloncurry Rivers. This rainfall has resulted in river and creek level rises, and minor flooding at Richmond.
     Further areas of widespread rainfall with locally heavy totals are forecast to continue for the next few days, which is likely to result in further river and creek level rises along the Flinders and Cloncurry Rivers.
     A Severe Weather Warning is current for heavy rainfall for parts of the Northern Goldfields and Upper Flinders, North West, Central West, Channel Country and Maranoa and Warrego Forecast Districts.
     The situation is being closely monitored and this warning will be updated as required.
    
    Flinders River to Richmond:
    Minor flooding is occurring along the Flinders River to Richmond.
    There are no current observations for the Flinders River at Richmond, however based on the nearby automatic gauge the river level is expected to be above the minor flood level (5.00 m) and rising.
    The Flinders River at Richmond is likely to remain above the minor flood level during Tuesday. Further rises are possible with forecast rainfall.
    
    Flinders River downstream of Richmond:
    River and creek level rises are likely occurring along the lower Flinders River.
    Cloncurry River:
    Minor flooding is likely along the Cloncurry River.
    The Cloncurry River at Cloncurry is currently at 2.87 metres and rising, below the minor flood level (3.00 m).
    The Cloncurry River at Cloncurry is likely to reach the minor flood level late Tuesday afternoon. Further rises are possible with forecast rainfall.
