    MODERATE FLOODING EASING SLOWLY AT BIRDSVILLE
     Flooding continues to ease along the Diamantina River downstream of Diamantina Lakes. Moderate flooding at Birdsville is likely to continue until at least early next week.
     No significant rainfall is forecast for the next few days.
    
    Diamantina River downstream of Diamantina Lakes:
    Minor to major flooding is easing along the Diamantina River between Monkira and Birdsville.
    The Diamantina River at Birdsville is currently at 7.30 metres and falling slowly, above the moderate flood level (6.00 m).
    The Diamantina River at Birdsville is expected to continue easing slowly and is likely to remain above the moderate flood level (6.00 m) until at least early next week.
