MODERATE FLOODING CONTINUES ALONG EYRE CREEK
Along Eyre Creek, a prolonged moderate flood peak has now passed Bedourie. Downstream at Glengyle, river levels are estimated to be around the moderate flood level.
No significant rainfall was recorded across the catchment in the 24 hours to 12:00 pm Friday. Showers and storms, possibly with isolated heavy falls, may develop across the catchment into the weekend. This situation is being monitored, and warnings will be updated as necessary.
Georgina River downstream of Marion Downs:
River levels are expected to remain elevated along the Georgina River downstream of Marion Downs as floodwaters continue to move through the Georgina River.
Eyre Creek:
Moderate flooding continues along Eyre Creek to Glengyle.
Eyre Creek at Bedourie is currently at 4.00 metres and steady, with moderate flooding.
Eyre Creek at Bedourie is expected to remain around the moderate flood level (4.00 metres) for the next few days, with renewed rises possible from early next week.
No current river level observations are available for Eyre Creek at Glengyle, however the creek level is likely to be around the moderate flood level (3.00 m).
Eyre Creek at Glengyle may remain around the moderate flood level over the next few days as floodwaters continue to arrive from upstream.
