    Severe thunderstorms are outside of the Melbourne metropolitan area.
    
    cancellation of severe thunderstorm warning - melbourne area for the following areas:
    Western and Geelong and Bellarine Peninsula
    Severe thunderstorms are no longer affecting the Melbourne Area. This warning is now cancelled. Severe thunderstorms are continuing to the north of the Melbourne metropolitan area - refer Regional Severe Thunderstorm Warning.
     35.8 MM WAS RECORDED AT BROADFORD IN THE 30 MINUTES TO 7:48 PM.
     44.0 MM WAS RECORDED AT LILYDALE LAKE IN THE 60 MINUTES TO 5:00 PM.
     37.4 mm was recorded at Droomers in the 3 hours to 6:15 pm.
     31.0 mm was recorded at Beenak in the 60 minutes to 6:00 pm.

    The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
     * Stay away from fallen powerlines - always assume they are live.
     * Stay safe by avoiding dangerous hazards, such as floodwater, mud, debris, damaged roads and fallen trees.
     * Don't walk, ride your bike or drive through flood water.
    A more general severe thunderstorm warning remains current for the North Central, Wimmera and parts of the Central, Mallee, South West, Northern Country and North East districts.
     Other warnings may be current.
