    Cancellation Of Severe Thunderstorm Warning 
    
    for Upper Derwent Valley, South East, East Coast and Midlands Forecast Districts.
    
    Issued at 4:36 pm Friday, 19 September 2025.
    
    Severe thunderstorms have now eased over the southeast of the state.
    
    Weather Situation
    Thunderstorms developed in unstable atmosphere over the southeast of the state ahead of an approaching cold front. Isolated thunderstorms may persist for periods into the early evening, but are no longer expected to be severe.

    Upper Derwent Valley, South East, East Coast and Midlands
    This warning is now cancelled. A severe weather warning for damaging winds is also current for southern parts of the state for this evening and into early Saturday morning. For more information see http://www.bom.gov.au/tas/warnings/
    
    The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
     * Beware of fallen trees and powerlines.
     * Avoid driving, walking or riding through flood waters.
     * For emergency assistance contact the SES on 132500.
    
    No further warnings will be issued for this event.
