Minor Flood Warning For The Nepean River

MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT MENANGLE BRIDGE THURSDAY AFTERNOON
Moderate rainfall has been observed over the Nepean River catchment during Wednesday evening and into Thursday, resulting in river level rises along the Upper Nepean River. Minor flooding is possible at Menangle Thursday afternoon.
Further moderate rainfall is forecast for the remainder of Thursday, which may result in further river level rises.
The situation is being closely monitored and this warning will be updated as required.
Upper Nepean River:
Minor flooding may occur along the Nepean River at Menangle.
The Nepean River at Menangle Bridge is currently at 3.50 m and rising, below the minor flood level.
The Nepean River at Menangle Bridge may reach around the minor flood level (5.20 m) Thursday afternoon. Further rises are possible with forecast rain.
Flood Safety Advice:
Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
