MODERATE FLOODING LIKELY AT BIRDSVILLE FROM SUNDAY
The flood peak is currently passing through Roseberth. This will approach Birdsville from Sunday, where the river is likely to exceed the moderate flood level. River levels upstream are steady at Durrie Station, and are continuing to ease at Monkira.

Diamantina River downstream of Diamantina Lakes:
Major flooding is occurring at Roseberth Station. Minor flooding is occurring at Monkira, Durrie and Birdsville.
The Diamantina River at Birdsville Police Station is currently at 5.40 m and rising slowly, with minor flooding.
The Diamantina River at Birdsville Police Station is likely to exceed the moderate flood level (6.00 m) from Sunday. A peak above the moderate flood level is expected from early next week.

Flood Safety Advice:
Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.

MODERATE FLOODING IS OCCURRING AT WINDORAH AND JUNDAH
MINOR FLOODING IS OCCURRING AT STONEHENGE
The flood peak is downstream of Windorah, along the Cooper Creek. River levels upstream of Windorah are continuing to fall.

Thomson River:
Moderate flooding is occurring at Jundah. Minor flooding is occurring at Stonehenge.
The Thomson River at Stonehenge was at 2.45 m and falling at 6:35 am Thursday, with minor flooding.
The Thomson River at Stonehenge may fall below the minor flood level (2.00 m) during Friday.

The Thomson River at Jundah was at 4.10 m and falling at 7:00 am Thursday, with moderate flooding.
The Thomson River at Jundah may fall below the moderate flood level (4.00 m) overnight Thursday into Friday. The river may fall below the minor flood level (2.50 m) early next week.

Cooper Creek:
Moderate flooding is occurring at Windorah.
The Cooper Creek at Windorah was at 4.95 m and falling at 12:00 pm Thursday, with moderate flooding.
The Cooper Creek at Windorah may fall below the moderate flood level (4.57 m) during Saturday.
