Moderate Flood Warning For The Weir River

MODERATE FLOODING OCCURRING AT TALWOOD
Moderate flooding is occurring along the Weir River at Talwood, where river levels are falling slowly. The flood peak is now downstream of Talwood and approaching Jericho.
River levels are rising downstream of Talwood along the Weir and Barwon Rivers to Mungindi where moderate flooding is occurring. Minor flooding is occurring at Mascot. A Moderate Flood Warning is current for the Barwon River (NSW).
No significant rainfall has been recorded across the Weir River catchment in the 24 hours to 9:00 am Tuesday and no significant rainfall is expected for the next few days.

Weir River downstream of Giddi Giddi South:
Moderate flooding is occurring along the Weir River downstream of Giddi Giddi South. Major flooding is occurring at Jericho. Minor flooding is occurring at Surrey.
The Weir River at Talwood is currently at 3.78 metres and falling with moderate flooding.
The Weir River at Talwood is likely to remain above the moderate flood level (3.50 m) over the next few days. Floodwaters from the Weir River are now arriving at Mungindi along the Barwon River at the Queensland / New South Wales border.

Minor Flood Warning For The Moonie River

RENEWED MINOR FLOOD PEAK POSSIBLE AT NINDIGULLY OVERNIGHT TUESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY
MINOR FLOODING MAY DEVELOP AT THALLON FROM AROUND THURSDAY
Two flood peaks are travelling along the Moonie River following rainfall during the first week of April. The first peak has passed Thallon Bridge. The second peak is approaching Nindigully, where minor flooding is occurring.
No significant rainfall has been observed over the last week. No significant rainfall is forecast for the next few days.

Moonie River downstream of Flinton:
Minor flooding is continuing along the Moonie River downstream of Flinton.
The Moonie River at Nindigully is currently at 2.65 metres and rising slowly, with minor flooding.
The Moonie River at Nindigully may peak near 2.80 metres overnight Tuesday into Wednesday, with minor flooding. The river level is likely to remain above the minor flood level (2.20 m) during the next few days as floodwaters continue to arrive from upstream.

At 9:00 am Monday the Moonie River at Thallon Bridge was at 3.46 metres and falling, below the minor flood level (4.00 m).
River levels are likely to remain elevated along the Moonie River at Thallon Bridge for the next few days. The river level may reach the minor flood level (4.00 m) from around Thursday with the arrival of upstream floodwaters.

Minor To Moderate Flood Warning For The Balonne And Bokhara Rivers And Balonne River Minor

MODERATE FLOODING OCCURRING AT DIRRANBANDI AND POSSIBLE AT HEBEL FROM LATE THIS WEEK
No significant rainfall has been recorded in the Balonne and Bokhara River catchments in the 24 hours to 9:00 am Tuesday and no significant rainfall is expected for the next few days.
The main flood peak is around Dirranbandi.

Balonne River to Surat:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Balonne River at Surat.
There are no current observations along the Balonne River at Surat, however, based on the nearby automatic gauge, it is expected that the river level at Surat is above the minor flood level (5.00 m) and falling.
The Balonne River at Surat may remain above the minor flood level during the remainder of Tuesday and into Wednesday.

Balonne River downstream of Surat to Beardmore Dam:
River levels are elevated along the Balonne River downstream of Surat to Beardmore Dam. Moderate flooding is slowly easing at Weribone.
Lower Balonne and Bokhara Rivers, Balonne River Minor:
Moderate flooding is occurring along the Balonne River Minor and may occur along the Bokhara River. Moderate flooding is occurring at Whyenbah.
There are no current observations at the St George manual gauge, however, based on the nearby automatic gauge, the river level is currently estimated to be below the minor flood level (6.00 m) and falling slowly.
The Balonne River at St George is expected to remain below the minor flood level.

Current river level observations are not available for the Balonne River Minor at Dirranbandi. It is estimated that the river level is above the moderate flood level (4.30 m) and steady.
The Balonne River Minor at Dirranbandi is likely to remain above the moderate flood level during Tuesday and into Wednesday.

The Bokhara River at Hebel is currently at 0.92 metres and rising slowly, below the minor flood level (1.00 m).
The Bokhara River at Hebel may exceed the minor flood level (1.00 m) during Wednesday. The river level may reach the moderate flood level (1.50 m) late this week.

Final Flood Warning For The Dawson River

RIVER LEVELS HAVE EASED BELOW MINOR ALONG THE DAWSON RIVER DOWNSTREAM OF THEODORE
Floodwaters continue to slowly ease along the lower reaches of the Dawson River, where the flood peak is currently downstream of Baralaba in the Boolburra area.
There remains a chance of showers for the next few days, however no significant rainfall is forecast.

Dawson River downstream of Theodore:
No further flooding is expected in the Dawson River downstream of Theodore.
No current river level observations are available for Moura. However based on nearby observations the river level is estimated to be below the minor flood level (6.00 metres) and falling.
The Dawson River at Moura is expected to remain below the minor flood level (6.00 m) during the next few days.

No current river level observations are available for Baralaba. However based on the nearby observations the river level is estimated to be around 3.50 metres and falling, below the minor flood level (4.00 metres).
The Dawson River at Baralaba is expected to remain below the minor flood level (4.00 m) during the next few days.
