MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT ROSEWOOD, FIVE MILE BRIDGE, AND AMBERLEY
MINOR FLOODING LIKELY AT WALLOON TUESDAY EVENING
Heavy showers and storms have been observed over the past couple days, with widespread totals of 60-120 mm observed across the Bremer River catchment over the past 24 hours. This has caused river level rises along the Bremer River and Warrill Creek.
Along the Bremer River, a minor flood peak has now passed Rosewood and is approaching Five Mile Bridge, where minor flooding is occurring and a peak is likely to arrive this evening. Downstream at Walloon, minor flooding is likely from Tuesday evening.
Along Warrill Creek, a minor flood peak has now passed Amberley, where minor flooding continues.
Warrill Creek:
Minor flooding is occurring along Warrill Creek.
Warrill Creek at Amberley peaked at 4.85 metres around 01:00 pm Tuesday afternoon and is currently above the minor flood level (4.00 metres) at 4.76 metres and falling.
Warrill Creek at Amberley is likely to fall below the minor flood level (4.00 m) overnight Tuesday into Wednesday.
Bremer River:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Bremer River.
The Bremer River at Rosewood peaked at 4.72 metres around 02:30 pm Tuesday afternoon. The river is currently above the minor flood level (4.00 metres) at 4.64 metres and falling slowly.
The Bremer River at Rosewood is likely to fall below the minor flood level (4.00 m) Tuesday night.
The Bremer River at Five Mile Bridge is currently above the minor flood level (3.5 metres) at 4.24 metres and rising.
The Bremer River at Five Mile Bridge may peak near 5.00 metres Tuesday evening, with minor flooding.
The Bremer River at Walloon is currently below the minor flood level (5.00 metres) at 4.28 metres and rising.
The Bremer River at Walloon is likely to exceed the minor flood level (5.00 m) around Tuesday evening. The river level may peak near 6.00 metres overnight Tuesday into Wednesday, with minor flooding.
