MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT DALBEG AND SELLHEIM (MACROSSAN BRIDGE) FROM SUNDAY MORNING
Heavy to locally intense rainfall is forecast to develop across parts of the Burdekin River catchment from overnight Friday. The timing and the location of the heaviest falls will depend on the development and track of the tropical low. This rainfall is likely to result in rapid river and creek level rises. Minor flooding is possible for Clare and Inkerman Bridge (Burdekin Bridge) from overnight Saturday, and possible at Dalbeg and Sellheim (Macrossan Bridge) from Sunday morning. Minor flooding is possible at Burdekin Dam from Monday morning.
This situation is being closely monitored, and this warning will be updated as required.
A Flood Watch is current for adjoining catchments. A Severe Weather Warning for heavy to locally intense rainfall is current for parts of the Burdekin catchment.

Burdekin River to Burdekin Falls Dam:
Minor flooding is possible along the Burdekin River to Burdekin Falls Dam, with forecast rainfall.
The Burdekin River at Sellheim (Macrossan Bridge) is currently at 3.80 m and falling, below the minor flood level.
The Burdekin River at Sellheim (Macrossan Bridge) may reach around the minor flood level (12.00 m) Sunday morning, with forecast rainfall.

The Burdekin Dam is currently at 1.86 m and steady, below the minor flood level.
The Burdekin Dam may reach around the minor flood level (3.00 m) Monday morning, with forecast rainfall.

Burdekin River downstream of Burdekin Falls Dam:
Minor flooding is possible along the Burdekin River downstream of Burdekin Falls, with forecast rainfall.
The Burdekin River at Dalbeg is currently at 6.88 m and falling, below the minor flood level.
The Burdekin River at Dalbeg may exceed the minor flood level (10.00 m) Sunday morning. Further rises are possible with forecast rain.

The Burdekin River at Clare is currently at 6.70 m and falling, below the minor flood level.
The Burdekin River at Clare may exceed the minor flood level (9.00 m) overnight Saturday into Sunday. Further rises are possible with forecast rain.

The Burdekin River at Inkerman Bridge (Burdekin Bridge) is currently at 5.25 m and steady, below the minor flood level.
The Burdekin River at Inkerman Bridge (Burdekin Bridge) may exceed the minor flood level (7.00 m) overnight Saturday into Sunday. Further rises are possible with forecast rain.

Moderate Flood Warning For The Thomson River

MODERATE FLOODING POSSIBLE AT CAMOOLA PARK AND LONGREACH FROM THE WEEKEND
Rainfall over recent days and weeks has caused river level rises across the upper Thomson River catchment. Minor flooding is occurring at Camoola Park where moderate flooding is possible from Saturday. Downstream at Longreach minor flooding is likely over the weekend and moderate flooding is possible early next week as upstream floodwaters arrive.
Moderate to heavy rainfall is possible from this weekend, which may cause renewed river level rises from early next week. This situation is being closely monitored, and warnings will be updated as required.

Thomson River:
Moderate flooding may develop along the upper Thomson River at Camoola Park and Longreach.
The Thomson River at Camoola Park is currently at 3.60 m and rising, with minor flooding.
The Thomson River at Camoola Park may reach around the moderate flood level (4.00 m) during Saturday.

The Thomson River at Longreach is currently at 2.40 m and rising, below the minor flood level.
The Thomson River at Longreach is likely to exceed the minor flood level (3.30 m) over the weekend. The river may reach around the moderate flood level (4.30 m) early next week.

Minor Flood Warning For The Western River And Flood Warning For The Diamantina River

MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT WINTON
Recent heavy rainfall has caused river level rises and flooding across the Diamantina River catchment and its upper tributaries. Minor flooding is occurring along the Western River at Winton.
Moderate flooding is occurring at Diamantina Lakes. An earlier flood peak is continuing to move downstream along the Diamantina River below Monkira.
Further rainfall may redevelop over the next week, with a low forecast to move over northern Queensland. This may result in renewed river level rises and flooding. This situation is being closely monitored, and warnings will be updated as required

Diamantina River to Diamantina Lakes:
The Diamantina River at Diamantina Lakes is at 4.05 m and rising, above the level of the Springvale Diamantina Lakes Road Causeway (2.10 m).
Western River:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Western River at Winton.
The Western River at Winton was at 1.85 m and steady at 10:50 am on Wednesday, 7th January, with minor flooding.
The Western River at Winton may remain above the minor flood level (1.50 m) for the remainder of Friday into Saturday.

Diamantina River downstream of Diamantina Lakes:
River level rises are occurring along the lower Diamantina River downstream of Diamantina Lakes, with a flood peak travelling downstream of Monkira.

MAJOR FLOODING CONTINUES AT WALKERS BEND
MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT RICHMOND
Along the Flinders River at Richmond river levels are estimated to be above the minor flood level and falling. Downstream, inflows from multiple tributaries are causing major flooding at Walkers Bend, where river levels are slowly falling.
Moderate to heavy rainfall may redevelop from this weekend primarily to the east of the catchment in the upper Flinders, which may cause renewed river level rises from early next week. This situation is being closely monitored, and warnings will be updated as required.

Flinders River to Richmond:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Flinders River to Richmond.
No observations are currently available for the Flinders River at Richmond Post Office. Based on the nearby automatic gauge, the river level is expected to be above the minor flood level (5.00 m) and falling.
The Flinders River at Richmond Post Office may fall below the minor flood level (5.00 m) during Friday. With forecast rainfall renewed river level rises are possible in coming days.

Flinders River downstream of Richmond:
Major flooding is occurring along the Flinders River downstream of Richmond.
The Flinders River at Walkers Bend is currently at 15.29 m and steady, with major flooding.
The Flinders River at Walkers Bend is expected to remain above the major flood level (8.00 m) until at least mid next week.
