Flood Warning For The Diamantina River

RIVER LEVELS ABOVE CAUSEWAY AT DIAMANTINA LAKES AND MONKIRA
River level rises are occurring along the Diamantina River downstream of Diamantina Lakes as floodwaters move downstream.
No significant rainfall has been recorded over the last week and no significant rainfall is forecast over the next few days.

Diamantina River to Diamantina Lakes:
Small renewed river level rises have been occurring since Friday along the Diamantina River at Diamantina Lakes. On Sunday morning the river level was approximately 1.2 metres above the level of the Diamantina Lakes Road Causeway.
Diamantina River downstream of Diamantina Lakes:
Minor flooding is also occurring downstream at Monkira where the Diamantina River was at 3.09 m on Sunday morning, approximately 0.2 metres above the Diamantina Development Road Causeway.
