MAJOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT JUNDAH FROM OVERNIGHT TUESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY AND WINDORAH FROM OVERNIGHT MONDAY INTO TUESDAY
MODERATE FLOODING OCCURRING AT CAMOOLA PARK, LONGREACH, AND POSSIBLE AT STONEHENGE, RETREAT FROM OVERNIGHT MONDAY INTO TUESDAY
Multiple flood peaks are currently moving through the Thomson River, where a renewed moderate flood peaked early Sunday morning at Longreach. Further downstream at Stonehenge, river levels are slowly rising above the moderate flood level, further river level rises are possible over the next few days. As these flows continue to move downstream, major flooding is possible at Jundah from overnight Tuesday into Wednesday.
Along the Barcoo River, the main peak is approaching Retreat, where minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is possible from overnight Monday into Tuesday.
Along the Cooper Creek, renewed moderate flooding is occurring at Windorah (Main Channel) and major flooding is possible from overnight Monday into Tuesday. Further rises are likely as upstream flows arrive from the Thomson and Barcoo Rivers.
Peak forecasts will be refined as upstream peaks are observed.
In the lower Cooper Creek catchment, moderate to heavy rainfall was recorded in the last few days which has caused minor to moderate flooding along the lower Cooper Creek and its tributaries.
Thomson River:
Minor to moderate flooding is occurring along the Thomson River and its tributaries, with major flooding possible at Jundah.
The Thomson River at Camoola Park is currently at 4.05 m and falling, with moderate flooding.
The Thomson River at Camoola Park may remain around the moderate flood level (4.00 m) for the remainder of Monday. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive.
The Thomson River at Longreach is currently at 4.89 m and steady, with moderate flooding.
The Thomson River at Longreach is likely to remain above the moderate flood level (4.30 m) for the next few days.
No observations are currently available for the Thomson River at Stonehenge. Based on the nearby automatic gauge, the river level is estimated to be just below the moderate flood level (3.00 m) and steady.
The Thomson River at Stonehenge may reach around the moderate flood level (3.00 m) overnight Tuesday into Wednesday. Further rises are possible.
The Thomson River at Jundah is currently at 3.98 m and steady, around the moderate flood level.
The Thomson River at Jundah may remain around the moderate flood level (4.00 m) for the remainder of Monday. The river may reach around the major flood level (5.00 m) overnight Tuesday into Wednesday. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive.
Barcoo River downstream of Isisford:
Moderate flooding is possible along the Barcoo River at Retreat.
The Barcoo River at Retreat is currently at 3.57 m and steady, with minor flooding.
The Barcoo River at Retreat may reach around the moderate flood level (4.50 m) overnight Monday into Tuesday.
Cooper Creek:
Major flooding is possible along the Cooper Creek at Windorah. Minor flooding is occurring at Noccundra.
The Cooper Creek at Windorah is currently at 4.88 m and steady, with moderate flooding.
The Cooper Creek at Windorah may exceed the major flood level (5.00 m) overnight Monday into Tuesday. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive.

MAJOR FLOODING POSSIBLE ALONG THE DIAMANTINA RIVER AT BIRDSVILLE LATER IN THE WEEK
Significant rainfall has been observed across the Diamantina catchment during the last few days that has resulted in rapid river level rises. Elevated river levels are occurring downstream of Diamantina Lakes, with moderate flooding occurring at Birdsville. Further rises may cause major flooding at Birdsville later in the week as upstream flows arrive.
Diamantina River to Diamantina Lakes:
The Diamantina River at Diamantina Lakes is currently at 5.67 m and rising, above the moderate flood level (4.00 m) and well above the Springvale Diamantina Lakes Road Causeway level (2.10 m).
Western River:
No further flooding is expected along the Western River at Winton.
The Western River at Winton is currently at 1.10 m and steady, below the minor flood level.
The Western River at Winton is expected to remain below the minor flood level (1.50 m).
Diamantina River downstream of Diamantina Lakes:
Moderate flooding is occurring at Roseberth and Birdsville. Minor flooding is occurring at Monkira.
The Diamantina River at Birdsville Police Station is currently at 7.30 m and rising, with moderate flooding.
The Diamantina River at Birdsville Police Station may reach around the major flood level (8.00 m) later in the week. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive. Peak forecasts will be provided as upstream peaks are observed.

Floodwater from recent rainfall continues to move along the lower Bulloo River. The main flood peak passed Thargomindah on Saturday morning, where moderate flooding has eased and minor flooding is continuing.
Further showers and storms are possible over the next few days, which may result in further river level rises along the Bulloo River.

Minor flooding is occurring at Thargomindah.

MAJOR FLOODING LIKELY AT WALKERS BEND FROM WEDNESDAY INTO THURSDAY
The main flood peak along the Flinders River has moved downstream of Etta Plains and is approaching Walkers Bend. The flood peak along the Cloncurry River is passing through Canobie, upstream of its junction with the Flinders River.
River levels are slowly rising along the lower Flinders River at Walkers Bend, where major flooding is likely from Wednesday into Thursday, as floodwaters from both the Cloncurry and Flinders rivers arrive.
Flinders River downstream of Richmond:
Elevated river levels are occurring along the Flinders River downstream of Richmond. Major flooding is likely at Walkers Bend.
The Flinders River at Walkers Bend is currently at 6.71 m and rising, with moderate flooding.

Following a minor flood peak on Tuesday, river levels fell below the minor flood level along the Suttor River at St Anns during Saturday night.
Showers and storms are forecast across the catchment for the remainder of Sunday but are not expected to cause significant renewed rises in river levels.

Flooding is no longer occurring along the Suttor River at St Anns.
