MAJOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT BARALABA
MODERATE FLOODING OCCURRING AT TAROOM AND YATTON AND POSSIBLE AT MOURA
RENEWED MODERATE FLOODING POSSIBLE AT THEODORE WEIR FROM LATER THIS WEEK
Moderate to locally intense rainfall across parts of the Fitzroy River catchment over the weekend resulted in rapid river and creek level rises, particularly across parts of the Connors and Isaac, Comet and Nogoa, and Dawson River catchments.
Along the Dawson River, major flooding is occurring at Baralaba following initial rises due to local rainfall, with renewed rises likely as upstream flows arrive. Further upstream, moderate flooding is occurring at Taroom, with river levels approaching a moderate flood peak late Wednesday evening. Minor flooding is occurring at Theodore Weir and Moura. Renewed rises are likely downstream of Taroom over the coming days as upstream flows arrive.
Along the Callide Creek, minor flooding is easing at Jambin. Along the Isaac River, a moderate flood peak was observed at Yatton during Wednesday morning, with moderate flooding slowly easing.
Elevated river levels are occurring across the Comet, Nogoa and Mackenzie River catchments.
Dawson River to Theodore:
Moderate flooding is occurring at Taroom. Minor flooding is occurring at Chilgerrie Hill, Tarana Crossing and Theodore Weir.
The Dawson River at Taroom is currently at 6.41 m and steady, with moderate flooding.
The Dawson River at Taroom is likely to peak near 6.50 m late Wednesday evening, above the moderate flood level (6.00 m).
The Dawson River at Theodore Weir is currently at 9.63 m and falling, with minor flooding.
The Dawson River at Theodore Weir is likely to remain above the minor flood level (8.00 m) overnight Wednesday and into Thursday. Renewed river level rises and moderate flooding (11.00 m) is possible from later this week as upstream flows arrive.
Dawson River downstream of Theodore:
Major flooding is occurring at Baralaba, Karamea, Beckers and Knebworth.
No observations are currently available for the Dawson River at Moura. Based on the nearby automatic gauge the river level is estimated to be above the minor flood level (6.00 m) and rising.
The Dawson River at Moura may peak near the moderate flood level (11.00 m) late Wednesday evening. Renewed rises are possible later this week as upstream flows arrive.
No observations are currently available for the Dawson River at Baralaba. However, based on the nearby automatic gauge the river level at Baralaba is expected to be well above the major flood level (9.00 m) and falling slowly.
The Dawson River at Baralaba will remain above the major flood level (9.00 m) overnight Wednesday and into Thursday. Renewed river level rises are likely as upstream flows arrive.
Don and Dee Rivers:
Minor flooding is occurring at Jambin.
The Callide Creek at Jambin is currently at 3.60 m and falling, with minor flooding.
The Callide Creek at Jambin may remain above the minor flood level (2.65 m) overnight Wednesday and into Thursday.
Comet River:
Elevated river levels are occurring across the Comet River catchment. Major flooding is occurring at Comet Weir.
Nogoa River:
Elevated river levels are occurring across the Nogoa River catchment. Major flooding is occurring at Gregory Highway and Duckponds. Minor flooding is occurring at Valeria.
Connors and Isaac Rivers:
Moderate flooding is occurring at Yatton.
The Isaac River at Yatton is currently at 10.12 m and falling, with moderate flooding.
The Isaac River at Yatton is likely to remain above the moderate flood level (9.50 m) overnight Wednesday and into Thursday.
Mackenzie River:
River level rises are occurring across the Mackenzie River catchment as upstream flows arrive. Moderate flooding is occurring at Bedford Weir. Minor flooding is occurring at Bingegang Weir.

MINOR FLOODING CONTINUING AT WILLARA CROSSING AND EXPECTED AT WANAARING DURING THURSDAY
Multiple minor flood peaks are moving through the Paroo River.
At Willara Crossing a minor flood peak was observed early Saturday morning. This flood peak is now moving downstream and is likely to reach Wanaaring during Thursday.
Another flood peak currently upstream of Hungerford is likely to arrive at Willara Crossing around Friday.
A Minor Flood Warning is current for the Paroo River in Queensland.

Minor flooding is occurring along the Paroo River downstream of Hungerford.
The Paroo River at Willara Crossing is currently at 1.22 m and rising slowly, with minor flooding.
The Paroo River at Willara Crossing is likely to peak near 1.40 m around Friday, with minor flooding.
The Paroo River at Wanaaring is currently at 2.38 m and rising, just below the minor flood level.
The Paroo River at Wanaaring is expected to peak around the minor flood level (2.40 m) during Thursday. Renewed rises are expected as upstream floodwaters arrive.

Recent heavy rainfall has caused river level rises across the upper Balonne River catchment. Major flooding is expected to be occurring along the Balonne River at Warkon and major flooding is likely at Surat from late Thursday, with minor flooding possible at Warroo from overnight Thursday into Friday. Elevated river levels and flooding are occurring along Dogwood Creek.
No significant rainfall is forecast for the next few days.
Dogwood Creek:
Major flooding is occurring along Dogwood Creek at Pine Hill Crossing and upstream river levels are easing with minor flooding continuing at Gilweir.
Balonne River to Surat:
Major flooding is occurring along the Balonne River to Surat.
No observations are currently available for the Balonne River at Warkon. The river level is estimated to be around the major flood level (9.00 m) and rising.
The Balonne River at Warkon may reach around 10.0 m overnight Wednesday into Thursday. Further river level rises are possible and peak forecasts will be provided as upstream peaks are observed.

Heavy rainfall has been recorded over the upper Warrego River catchment over the weekend. River levels upstream of Augathella have risen rapidly in response to this rainfall.
Moderate flooding is occurring at Augathella, with river levels likely to peak around the major flood level from Tuesday afternoon.
This flood peak is expected to move towards Charleville over the next few days. The situation is being monitored and forecasts for Charleville will be provided as upstream peaks are observed.
