MINOR FLOODING CONTINUES AT CAMOOLA PARK AND POSSIBLE AT LONGREACH OVER THE WEEKEND
Rainfall over recent days and weeks has caused river level rises across the upper Thomson River catchment. Minor flooding continues at Camoola Park and may develop at Longreach over the weekend as upstream floodwaters arrive.
Further rainfall is forecast over the coming days that may cause further rises. This situation is being closely monitored, and this warning will be updated as required.

Thomson River:
Minor flooding is occurring along the upper Thomson River at Camoola Park and is possible at Longreach.
The Thomson River at Camoola Park is currently at 2.90 m and steady, with minor flooding.
The Thomson River at Camoola Park may remain above the minor flood level (2.00 m) for the next few days. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive.

The Thomson River at Longreach is currently at 1.95 m and steady, below the minor flood level.
The Thomson River at Longreach may reach around the minor flood level (3.30 m) over the weekend. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive.

Flood Safety Advice:
Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
