SIGNIFICANT AND PROLONGED MAJOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT DALY RIVER POLICE STATION
RIVER LEVELS NEAR 1998 FLOOD EVENT POSSIBLE
Significant major flooding is occurring along the Daly River at the Daly River Police Station. River levels close to the 1998 flood level (approximately 16.30 m) are possible at Daly River Police Station in the next few days. Significant major flooding will continue for a prolonged period.
Moderate rainfall is forecast over the next few days. The situation is being closely monitored and the warning will be updated as required.
A Minor Flood Warning is current for the Katherine River, and a Flood Watch is current for parts of the Top End, Central and Western Inland Areas.

Lower Daly River:
Significant major flooding is occurring along the Daly River.
The Daly River at Daly River Police Station is currently at 15.81 m and rising, with major flooding.
The Daly River at Daly River Police Station may exceed 16.20 m during Friday, close to the 1998 flood level.

Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.

MINOR FLOODING CONTINUING ALONG THE WATERHOUSE RIVER AT BESWICK BRIDGE
Minor flooding is continuing along the Waterhouse River at Beswick Bridge. The river levels are likely to remain above the minor flood level during the remainder of Thursday into Friday.
Further rainfall forecast over the coming days may lead to renewed river rises. The situation is being closely monitored, and the warning will be updated as required.
A Flood Watch is current for parts of the Top End, Central and Western Inland Areas

Waterhouse River:
Minor flooding is continuing along the Waterhouse River.
The Waterhouse River at Beswick Bridge is currently at 7.95 m and falling, with minor flooding.
The Waterhouse River at Beswick Bridge is likely to remain above the minor flood level (7.70 m) during the remainder of Thursday into Friday. Renewed rises are possible with forecast rain.

Roper River below Elsey Creek:
River levels are elevated in the Roper River catchment.

MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT KATHERINE BRIDGE AND NITMILUK CENTRE
Minor flooding is occurring along the Katherine River at Nitmiluk and Katherine Bridge, and likely to continue Thursday into Friday.
Further rainfall is forecast across the catchment for the next few days, which may lead to renewed river level rises.
A Flood Watch is current for parts of the Top End, which includes the Katherine River.

Katherine River Gorge Road:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Katherine River at Nitmiluk.
The Katherine River at Nitmiluk Centre is currently at 4.67 m and falling, with minor flooding.
The Katherine River at Nitmiluk Centre is likely to remain above the minor flood level (3.00 m) for the remainder of Thursday into Friday.

Katherine Town:
Minor flooding is occurring at Katherine Town.
The Katherine River at Katherine Bridge is currently at 16.29 m and falling, with minor flooding.
The Katherine River at Katherine Bridge is likely to remain above the minor flood level (16.00 m) for the remainder of Thursday into Friday.
