MODERATE FLOOD PEAK POSSIBLE AT GOANGRA OVERNIGHT THURSDAY INTO FRIDAY
The main flood peak along the Namoi River is now approaching Goangra, where river levels may peak near the moderate flood level overnight Thursday into Friday. Upstream at Bugilbone, the Namoi River fell below the minor flood level Tuesday afternoon.
Namoi River:
Moderate flooding is possible along the Namoi River at Goangra. Flooding is no longer occurring at Bugilbone.
The Namoi River at Bugilbone is currently at 4.47 m and steady, below the minor flood level.
The Namoi River at Bugilbone is expected to remain below the minor flood level (4.90 m).
The Namoi River at Goangra is currently at 6.02 m and rising, with minor flooding.
The Namoi River at Goangra may peak near the moderate flood level (6.70 m) overnight Thursday into Friday.
