for Illawarra, South Coast, Central Tablelands, Southern Tablelands, South West Slopes, Snowy Mountains and Australian Capital Territory Forecast Districts.

Weather Situation
The strong northwesterly flow associated with the passage of a cold front earlier today has now eased and damaging winds are no longer expected.

Fire Weather Warning

for Greater Hunter, Greater Sydney Region, Illawarra/Shoalhaven, Central Ranges, North Western, Upper Central West Plains, Lower Central West Plains, Southern Slopes, Eastern Riverina, Southern Riverina and Northern Riverina fire weather districts

Issued at 04:43 AM EDT on Wednesday 26 November 2025

Weather Situation
Hot to very hot and dry conditions will combine with fresh to strong and gusty west to northwest winds over much of New South Wales on Wednesday. Wind will begin to ease during the evening and shift west to southwesterly over western parts. Gusty thunderstorms are expected to develop over northern and eastern districts, most likely in the afternoon.
