MAJOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT WEE WAA OVERNIGHT TUESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY
MODERATE FLOODING POSSIBLE AT BUGILBONE FRIDAY
The flood peak along the Namoi River, resulting from recent rainfall is approaching Wee Waa. A major flood peak is possible at Wee Waa overnight Tuesday into Wednesday. Further downstream, Bugilbone may reach the moderate flood level during Friday.
Minor flooding is occurring at Goangra, where the river level is falling slowly. Renewed river level rises are expected from Wednesday and will continue at least until early next week.
Namoi River:
Minor flooding is occurring at Goangra. Moderate flooding is occurring at Wee Waa. Moderate flooding possible at Bugilbone and major flooding is possible at Wee Waa.
The Namoi River at Wee Waa (Glencoe) is currently at 6.49 m and steady, with moderate flooding.
The Namoi River at Wee Waa (Glencoe) may peak near the major flood level (6.70 m) overnight Tuesday into Wednesday.
The Namoi River at Bugilbone is currently at 3.92 m and steady, below the minor flood level.
The Namoi River at Bugilbone is likely to exceed the minor flood level (4.90 m) during Thursday. The river may reach around the moderate flood level (5.50 m) during Friday.
The Namoi River at Goangra is currently at 5.97 m and steady, with minor flooding.
Renewed river level rises are expected from Wednesday and are expected to continue at least until early next week. The river level is expected to remain between the minor (5.50 m) and moderate (6.70 m) flood levels over the next few days.

Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
