Minor Flood Warning For The Culgoa, Birrie, Bokhara And Narran Rivers

MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT BRENDA, GOODOOGA AND ANGLEDOOL FROM THE WEEKEND
The main flood peak along the Lower Balonne River in Queensland is now downstream of Dirranbandi. This flood water will move down through the Culgoa, Birrie, Bokhara, and Narran river systems with river level rises possible over the next few days. Minor flooding is possible from this weekend.
Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive and predictions will be refined as upstream peaks are observed.

Culgoa River:
Minor flooding is possible along the Culgoa River.
The Culgoa River at Brenda is currently at 3.00 m and steady, below the minor flood level.
The Culgoa River at Brenda may reach the minor flood level (4.90 m) from Monday. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive.

Birrie River:
Minor flooding is possible along the Birrie River.
The Birrie River at Goodooga is currently at 0.42 m and steady, below the minor flood level.
The Birrie River at Goodooga may reach around the minor flood level (3.20 m) early next week. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive.

Bokhara River:
Minor flooding is possible along the Bokhara River.
The Bokhara River at Goodooga is currently at 1.13 m and steady, below the minor flood level.
The Bokhara River at Goodooga may reach around the minor flood level (2.70 m) early next week. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive.

Narran River:
Minor flooding is possible along the Narran River.
The Narran River at New Angledool No 2 is currently at 3.21 m and steady, below the minor flood level.
The Narran River at New Angledool No 2 may reach around the minor flood level (3.30 m) from Saturday. Further rises are possible.

Flood Safety Advice:
Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
