    RENEWED MODERATE FLOODING LIKELY AT GIRU TUESDAY AFTERNOON
     Moderate to heavy rainfall since Sunday afternoon has caused river and creek level rises across the Haughton River catchment. Moderate flooding is likely at Giru from Tuesday afternoon.
     Further showers and storms are forecast across the catchment for the next several days, which may cause renewed or further river level rises. This situation is being closely monitored, and this warning will be updated as required.
    
    Major Creek:
    Major Creek peaked above moderate flood level on Monday evening and water levels are easing. Renewed creek rises are possible based on the forecast rainfall.
    Haughton River:
    Renewed moderate flooding is likely along the Haughton River.
    The Haughton River at Giru peaked at 2.13 metres around 08:15 pm Monday 24 March and is currently at 1.88 metres and steady, above the minor flood level (1.80 m).
    The Haughton River at Giru is likely to exceed the moderate flood level (2.10 m) Tuesday afternoon. The river level may reach around 2.30 metres late Tuesday afternoon, with moderate flooding.
