Spring warmth to spread across Australia's southeast
Source Weatherzone Sat 13 Sep 2025
Springtime warmth is expected across southeast Australia early next week, with all capitals across the southeast expected to reach the 20s on Monday. Maximum daytime temperature forecasts for Monday include: 26 degrees in Sydney 24 degrees in Melbourne 26 degrees in Brisbane 23 degrees in Adelaide 22 degrees in Hobart 21 degrees in Canberra This widespread warmth will be caused by a broad area of northerly winds, which will be present across much of eastern Australia ahead of an approaching cold front. The front will be a slow-moving feature, allowing some capitals to see a period of extended warmth early next week. Melburnians can expect a pronounced peak in temperatures on Monday ahead of the front followed by dramatically cooler conditions on Tuesday. If temperatures do reach 30 degrees in Brisbane, it will be the first occurrence this spring.
