MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING ALONG THE AVON RIVER AT STRATFORD
Moderate to heavy rainfall since Tuesday has caused river level rises along the Avon River. Minor flooding is occurring at Stratford.
Further rainfall is forecast across the catchment during the remainder of Thursday, however significant rainfall totals are not expected. This situation is being closely monitored, and this warning will be updated as necessary.
Avon River:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Avon River at Stratford.
The Avon River at Stratford is currently at 4.93 m and rising, with minor flooding.
The Avon River at Stratford may peak near 5.20 m early Friday morning, with minor flooding.
Flood Safety Advice:
Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
