Final Flood Warning For The Ovens And King Rivers

WANGARATTA PEAKING BELOW MINOR FLOOD LEVEL, NO FURTHER FLOODING EXPECTED
Moderate rainfall has been observed over the weekend in the Ovens and King catchments. This caused minor flooding along the King River at Docker Road Bridge, where river levels are now below the minor flood level and falling. Further downstream along the Ovens River at Wangaratta, river levels are peaking below the minor flood level and will ease over the next few days.
No significant rainfall is forecast for the next few days and no further flooding is expected.
King River:
No further flooding is expected along the King River.
The King River at Docker Rd Bridge is currently at 3.42 m and falling, below the minor flood level.
The King River at Docker Rd Bridge will remain below the minor flood level (3.70 m).
Ovens River downstream of Rocky Point:
No further flooding is expected along the Ovens River downstream of Rocky Point.
The Ovens River at Wangaratta is currently at 11.71 m and steady around a peak, below the minor flood level.
The Ovens River at Wangaratta will remain below the minor flood level (11.90 m).

Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
