Frost Warning for the following areas:
Mallee, Wimmera, Northern Country, North Central, North East, South West, Central and West and South Gippsland forecast districts
Frosts with temperatures down to -1 degrees are forecast for Friday morning in parts of the Mallee, Wimmera, Northern Country, North Central, North East, South West, Central and West and South Gippsland forecast districts.

Moderate Flood Warning For The Mitchell River

MODERATE FLOOD PEAK POSSIBLE AT BAIRNSDALE EARLY FRIDAY MORNING
River levels along the Mitchell River at Glenaladale peaked just below the major flood level on Thursday afternoon. A flood peak near the moderate flood level is possible early Friday morning at Bairnsdale.

Wonnangatta River:
River level rises and isolated minor flooding are occurring along the Wonnangatta River.
Mitchell River to Glenaladale:
Moderate flooding is occurring along the Mitchell River at Glenaladale.
The Mitchell River at Glenaladale peaked at 5.41 m around 02:30 pm Thursday 3 July, with moderate flooding. The river is currently at 5.12 m and falling, with moderate flooding.
The Mitchell River at Glenaladale is likely to remain above the moderate flood level (4.50 m) overnight and into Friday morning.

Mitchell River downstream of Glenaladale:
Moderate flooding is possible along the Mitchell River downstream of Glenaladale.
The Mitchell River at Bairnsdale is currently at 6.42 m and rising, with minor flooding.
The Mitchell River at Bairnsdale may peak near the moderate flood level (6.50 m) early Friday morning.

Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.

MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING ALONG THE AVON RIVER AT STRATFORD
Moderate to heavy rainfall since Tuesday has caused river level rises along the Avon River. Minor flooding is occurring at Stratford.
Further rainfall is forecast across the catchment during the remainder of Thursday, however significant rainfall totals are not expected. This situation is being closely monitored, and this warning will be updated as necessary.

Avon River:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Avon River at Stratford.

The Avon River at Stratford is currently at 5.42 m and rising, with minor flooding.
The Avon River at Stratford may reach around 5.80 m Thursday evening, with minor flooding. Further rises are possible.
