Severe storms have now moved to the east of Greater Melbourne area.

Western Port, Inner East, Mornington Peninsula, South East, Northern and Outer East
Severe thunderstorms are no longer affecting the Melbourne Area. This warning is now cancelled.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Stay away from fallen powerlines - always assume they are live.
* Stay safe by avoiding dangerous hazards, such as floodwater, mud, debris, damaged roads and fallen trees.
* Don't walk, ride your bike or drive through flood water.
A more general severe thunderstorm warning remains current for the North East, West and South Gippsland and parts of the Central, East Gippsland, Northern Country, North Central and Mallee districts.
Other warnings may be current.
No further warnings will be issued for this event.
