for Central, East Gippsland, North Central, North East and West and South Gippsland Forecast Districts.

Weather Situation
A front moving through eastern Victoria is generating thunderstorms, but these are no longer expected to be severe.
cancellation of severe thunderstorm warning for the following areas:
Central, East Gippsland, North Central, North East and West and South Gippsland
This warning is now cancelled.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Stay away from fallen powerlines - always assume they are live.
* Stay safe by avoiding dangerous hazards, such as floodwater, mud, debris, damaged roads and fallen trees.
* Don't walk, ride your bike or drive through flood water.
No further warnings will be issued for this event.

A thunderstorm likely in the afternoon and evening, possibly severe with damaging winds, large hail and heavy rain which may lead to flash flooding in the E. Winds NW/NE 15 to 20 km/h tending W/NW 15 to 25 km/h in the middle of the day then turning S/SW 15 to 20 km/h in the afternoon. Overnight temperatures falling to between 13 and 16 with daytime temperatures reaching the mid to high 20s.
