FLOODWATERS ARRIVING AT KATI THANDA-LAKE EYRE
Floodwaters continue to arrive in the northern parts of Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre.
Water levels from the Cooper Creek are currently above the Innamincka causeway.
Showers and storms, with possible isolated heavy falls, are forecast to develop during the weekend. The situation is being monitored, and warnings will be updated as necessary.
Floodwaters may cut roads and access tracks, and in particular river crossings, impacting travel in the region.
Warburton:
River levels remain elevated along the Warburton River downstream of Goyder Lagoon, and floodwaters are arriving into northern parts of Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre.
Cooper Creek:
The Cooper Creek at Cullyamurra Waterhole is currently around 2.08 metres and rising slowly. The water level is estimated to be around 0.20 metres above the Innamincka causeway. Further river level rises are possible during the weekend due to forecast local rainfall.
