Severe Thunderstorm Warning
for Damaging Winds

for parts of North West Pastoral district.

Issued at 6:52 pm Tuesday, 21 October 2025.

A line of severe thunderstorms with damaging wind gusts continue into the evening.

Weather Situation
A hot and unstable airmass is in place around a surface trough in the west of the state. A line of severe thunderstorms have developed ahead of the trough and is moving to the east and southeast and will continue through until the mid-evening.
DAMAGING WINDS for the following areas:
North West Pastoral
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Coober Pedy and Tarcoola.
Severe thunderstorms are no longer occurring in the West Coast district and the warning for this district is CANCELLED.
Cancellation for the following areas:
West Coast

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Move cars under cover or away from trees.
* Keep clear of fallen power lines.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while storms are nearby.

The next warning is due to be issued by 9:55 pm.
Warnings are also available through TV and Radio broadcasts, the Bureau's website at www.bom.gov.au or call 1300 659 210. The Bureau and State Emergency Service would appreciate warnings being broadcast regularly.
