Severe Thunderstorm Warning
for Damaging Winds

for parts of West Coast and North West Pastoral districts.

Issued at 5:10 pm Tuesday, 21 October 2025.

Severe thunderstorms with damaging wind gusts continue in the west of the state.

Weather Situation
A hot and unstable airmass is in place around a surface trough in the west of the state. Severe thunderstorms have developed ahead of the trough and are moving to the east and southeast and are likely to continue into early evening.
DAMAGING WINDS for the following areas:
West Coast and North West Pastoral
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Tarcoola and the area around Emu Junction.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Move cars under cover or away from trees.
* Keep clear of fallen power lines.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while storms are nearby.

The next warning is due to be issued by 8:10 pm.
Warnings are also available through TV and Radio broadcasts, the Bureau's website at www.bom.gov.au or call 1300 659 210. The Bureau and State Emergency Service would appreciate warnings being broadcast regularly.
