FLOODING POSSIBLE IN PARTS OF EASTERN AND NORTHERN CAPE YORK PENINSULA OVER THE WEEKEND, RAINFALL RISK EASING FROM SUNDAY

Catchments within the Flood Watch area remain relatively wet from recent rainfall and can respond to further rainfall quickly.
Localised moderate daily rainfall totals are possible in areas north of Coen for the remainder of Saturday, with this risk expected to continue contracting northward during the remainder of the weekend.
