MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT WINTON FROM FRIDAY MORNING
FLOODING CONTINUES AT DIAMANTINA LAKES
Recent heavy rainfall has caused river level rises and flooding across the Diamantina River catchment and its upper tributaries.
In the last 24 hours, moderate rainfall has been recorded in the Western River catchment, which may result in minor flooding at Winton from Friday morning. Further downstream, moderate flooding is occurring at Diamantina Lakes, where a major flood peak was observed during Sunday morning. This peak is continuing to move downstream along the Diamantina River.
Further rainfall is forecast across parts of the Diamantina River catchment for the remainder of the week as Ex-Tropical Cyclone Koji moves across northwest Queensland. This rainfall may result in further river and creek level rises. This situation is being closely monitored, and this warning will be updated as required.
Diamantina River to Diamantina Lakes:
The Diamantina River at Diamantina Lakes is at 5.43 m and easing slowly, above the level of the Springvale Diamantina Lakes Road Causeway (2.10 m).
Western River:
Minor flooding may occur along the Western River.
There are no current observations for the Western River at Winton.
The Western River at Winton may exceed the minor flood level (1.50 m) Friday morning.
Diamantina River downstream of Diamantina Lakes:
River level rises are occurring along the lower Diamantina River downstream of Diamantina Lakes.

MAJOR FLOODING OCCURRING MARION DOWNS
MODERATE FLOODING POSSIBLE AT BEDOURIE FROM EARLY NEXT WEEK
A moderate flood peak along the Georgina River has passed Glenormiston and is now approaching Marion Downs, where major flooding is estimated to be occurring. As this peak travels downstream, moderate flooding may develop along the Eyre Creek at Bedourie from early next week.
Further downstream at Glengyle, minor flooding is expected to continue into early next week, with further rises possible as upstream flows arrive.
Further rainfall is forecast for the next few days, with the remnants of Ex-Tropical Cyclone Koji forecast to move into northwest Queensland. This is likely to result in further river level rises in the upper Georgina and Eyre Creek catchments over the coming days. This situation is being closely monitored, and warnings will be updated as required.
A Flood Watch is current for the Gulf Country and parts of Western Queensland and the Cape York Peninsula, which includes the Georgina River and Eyre Creek.
Georgina River to Marion Downs:
Major flooding is estimated to be occurring along the Georgina River at Marion Downs.
The Georgina River at Marion Downs was at 4.95 m and rising at 07:00 am Thursday morning, with moderate flooding. The river level is currently estimated to be above the major flood level (5.00 m).
The Georgina River at Marion Downs is likely to remain above the major flood level (5.00 m) though to the weekend.
Georgina River downstream of Marion Downs:
Elevated river levels are expected to be occurring along the Georgina River downstream of Marion Downs, with further rises expected during this week.
Eyre Creek:
Moderate flooding is possible along Eyre Creek.
The Eyre Creek at Bedourie is currently at 3.75 m and steady, with minor flooding.
The Eyre Creek at Bedourie may exceed the moderate flood level (4.00 m) early next week.

MINOR FLOODING IS OCCURRING AT CAMOOLA PARK, LONGREACH AND ESTIMATED TO BE OCCURRING AT JERICHO
MINOR FLOODING IS POSSIBLE AT STONEHENGE FROM FRIDAY AND BARCALDINE OVER THE WEEKEND
Rainfall over recent days and weeks has caused river level rises across the upper Thomson River catchment. Minor flooding is occurring at Camoola Park and Longreach. Minor flooding is possible at Stonehenge from Friday as upstream floodwaters arrive.
Heavy rainfall was recorded across the Jordan Creek and Alice River catchments overnight Monday and into Tuesday, causing minor flooding at Jericho. As these floodwaters move downstream, minor flooding is possible at Barcaldine over the weekend .
Further rainfall is forecast this week, with the remnants of Ex-Tropical Cyclone Koji forecast to move into northwest Queensland, lingering into the weekend. This is likely to result in renewed river level rises and further flooding. This situation is being closely monitored and warnings will be updated as required.
