MODERATE FLOODING EXPECTED TO BE OCCURRING AT WINDORAH
MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT CAMOOLA PARK, LONGREACH, JUNDAH AND RETREAT
RENEWED MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT STONEHENGE DURING FRIDAY
Along the Thomson River, the main flood peak has passed the Jundah area, where minor flooding is easing. The peak is now entering the Cooper Creek and approaching Windorah, where moderate flooding is expected to be occurring and likely to continue for the next few days.
Further upstream along the Thomson River, a second flood peak has been observed at Longreach, where renewed minor flooding is easing. As these flows move downstream, renewed rises are occurring along the Thomson River downstream of Longreach and may continue for the rest of the week.
Along the Barcoo River, the main flood peak is currently around the Retreat area. These flows will move downstream into the Cooper Creek, where moderate flooding is expected to continue at Windorah.

Thomson River:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Thomson River at Camoola Park, Longreach, Bogewong, and Jundah. Renewed rises are occurring downstream of Longreach at Bogewong.
As at 8:00 am AEST Tuesday morning, the Thomson River at Camoola Park was at 2.70 m and falling, with minor flooding.
The Thomson River at Camoola Park is likely to remain above the minor flood level (2.00 m) for the next few days.

The Thomson River at Longreach is currently at 3.34 m and falling slowly, with minor flooding.
The Thomson River at Longreach is likely to fall below the minor flood level (3.30 m) Wednesday afternoon.

The Thomson River at Stonehenge is currently at 1.95 m and falling slowly, below the minor flood level.
The Thomson River at Stonehenge may exceed the minor flood level (2.00 m) during Friday as floodwaters arrive from upstream.

The Thomson River at Jundah is currently at 2.91 m and falling slowly, with minor flooding.
The Thomson River at Jundah is likely to remain above the minor flood level (2.50 m) for the next few days.

Barcoo River downstream of Isisford:
Renewed minor flooding is occurring at Retreat.
The Barcoo River at Retreat is currently at 2.56 m and peaking above the minor flood level.


The Barcoo River at Retreat is likely to remain above the minor flood level (2.14 m) during Wednesday. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive.

Cooper Creek:
Moderate flooding is expected to be occurring along Cooper Creek.
No observations are currently available for the Cooper Creek at Windorah. However, based on upstream gauges it is estimated that the creek level is around the moderate flood level (4.57 m) and rising.
The Cooper Creek at Windorah is expected to remain above the moderate flood level for the next few days. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive.

MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT SELLHEIM (MACROSSAN BRIDGE) FROM WEDNESDAY EVENING
MINOR FLOODING NO LONGER OCCURRING AT ST ANNS
Moderate to heavy rainfall has been recorded in the upper Burdekin River catchment within the last 48 hours to 9:00am Wednesday. This has caused significant river level rises and minor to moderate flooding along the upper Burdekin River and its tributaries upstream of Sellheim. Minor flooding is possible at Sellheim (Macrossan Bridge) from Wednesday evening.
The river level is currently below the minor flood level and falling along the Suttor River at St Anns. Small renewed rises are possible but are not expected to reach the minor flood level.

Belyando and Suttor Rivers to Burdekin Falls Dam:
River levels have fallen just below the minor flood level at St Anns. Renewed rises to minor flood level are no longer expected.
The Suttor River at St Anns is currently at 3.64 m and steady, below the minor flood level.
The Suttor River at St Anns is expected to remain below the minor flood level (4.00 m).

Burdekin River to Burdekin Falls Dam:
Minor to moderate flooding is occurring in the upper Burdekin River and its tributaries.
The Burdekin River at Sellheim (Macrossan Bridge) is currently at 6.25 m and rising, below the minor flood level.
The Burdekin River at Sellheim (Macrossan Bridge) may reach around the minor flood level (12.00 m) Wednesday evening.

MINOR FLOODING LIKELY AT BIRDSVILLE IN THE FIRST HALF OF NEXT WEEK
River levels remain elevated along the Diamantina River, where the main flood peak is downstream of Monkira and slowly approaching Birdsville. Minor flooding is likely to develop at Birdsville during the first half of next week.
River levels at Diamantina Lakes remain above the moderate flood level and the causeway.

Diamantina River to Diamantina Lakes:
The Diamantina River at Diamantina Lakes is currently at 4.86 m and rising, above the moderate flood level (4.00 m) and above the level of the Springvale Diamantina Lakes Road Causeway (2.10 m).
Diamantina River downstream of Diamantina Lakes:
River level rises are occurring along the lower Diamantina River downstream of Diamantina Lakes. Minor flooding is continuing at Monkira.
The Diamantina River at Birdsville Police Station is currently at 1.80 m and steady, below the minor flood level.
The Diamantina River at Birdsville Police Station is likely to exceed the minor flood level (4.00 m) during the first half of next week. Further rises are possible as upstream flows arrive.

NEAR MODERATE FLOODING OCCURRING AT HALIFAX
MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT GLENEAGLE AND ABERGOWRIE BRIDGE WITH RENEWED RISES POSSIBLE
Near moderate flooding is occurring at Halifax which may continue into Wednesday afternoon, before the river level begins to ease but remain above the minor flood level overnight Wednesday into Thursday.
Minor flooding is occurring at Gleneagle and Abergowrie Bridge, with small renewed rises that may keep river levels above the minor flood level overnight Wednesday into Thursday. Minor flooding is no longer expected at Ingham Pump Station and Gairloch with river levels having peaked below the minor flood level during Wednesday morning.

Herbert River to Nash's Crossing:
Minor flooding is expected to be occurring at Gleneagle.
No observations are currently available for the Herbert River at Gleneagle Homestead. Based on the nearby automatic gauge, the river level is expected to be above the minor flood level and steady.
Small renewed rises are possible and the Herbert River at Gleneagle Homestead may remain above the minor flood level (4.50 m) overnight Wednesday into Thursday.

Herbert River downstream of Nash's Crossing:
Near moderate flooding is occurring at Halifax. Minor flooding is occurring at Abergowrie Bridge.
The Herbert River at Abergowrie Bridge is currently at 6.42 m and steady, with minor flooding.
Small renewed rises are possible and the Herbert River at Abergowrie Bridge may remain above the minor flood level (6.00 m) overnight Wednesday into Thursday.

The Herbert River at Ingham Pump Station is currently at 7.89 m and falling, below the minor flood level.

Major Flood Warning For The Lower Flinders River And Moderate Flood Warning For The Upper Flinders River

MODERATE FLOODING OCCURRING AT RICHMOND TUESDAY AFTERNOON, MAY REACH AROUND 7.30 M TUESDAY EVENING
MAJOR FLOODING EXPECTED TO CONTINUE AT WALKERS BEND
Rapid river level rises are occurring along the upper Flinders River at Richmond following moderate to heavy rainfall Monday into Tuesday in upstream catchments. A flood peak was observed along Porcupine Creek at Mt Emu Plains Monday night and along the Dutton River at Villa Dale early Tuesday morning. Moderate flooding is expected to be occurring at Richmond, and a moderate flood peak may occur Tuesday evening.
Further downstream, renewed river level rises are occurring upstream of Walkers Bend along the Saxby River at Wondoola. Along the lower Flinders River at Walkers Bend, major flooding is expected to continue falling slowly following a major flood peak earlier this month, however, renewed river level rises are likely over the next few days as these upstream flows arrive. River levels are not expected to exceed levels observed earlier this month.
Further rainfall is forecast over the next few days. This may result in renewed river level rises. The situation is being closely monitored, and warnings will be updated as required.
A Flood Watch is current for parts of the Western Cape York Peninsula, Gulf of Carpentaria, and North East Coastal Rivers.

Flinders River to Richmond:
Moderate flooding is occurring along the upper Flinders River at Richmond.
No observations are currently available for the Flinders River at Richmond Post Office. Based on the nearby automatic gauge, the river level may be above the moderate level (6.00 m) and rising.
The Flinders River at Richmond Post Office may reach around 7.30 m Tuesday evening, with moderate flooding. Higher levels may be possible. The situation is being monitored and this warning will be updated as required.

Flinders River downstream of Richmond:
Major flooding is occurring along the lower Flinders River at Walkers Bend.
The Flinders River at Walkers Bend is currently at 8.54 m and steady, with major flooding.
The Flinders River at Walkers Bend is expected to remain above the major flood level (8.00 m) for the next few days. Renewed rises are possible as upstream flows arrive.
