MODERATE FLOODING OCCURRING AT WALKERS BEND
Following recent renewed rises, a major flood peak was observed along the Flinders River at Walkers Bend Wednesday evening. River levels are slowly falling with moderate flooding occurring.
No significant rainfall totals are forecast over the next few days.

Flinders River downstream of Richmond:
Moderate flooding is occurring along the Flinders River downstream of Richmond.
The Flinders River at Walkers Bend peaked at 8.41 m around 10:50 pm Wednesday, with major flooding. The river is currently at 7.71 m and falling, with moderate flooding.
The Flinders River at Walkers Bend is likely to fall below the moderate flood level (5.30 m) over the weekend. The river is likely to fall below the minor flood level (5.00 m) by Monday.

Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.

MAJOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT JUNDAH AND WINDORAH
MODERATE FLOODING EASING AT STONEHENGE
Along the Cooper Creek a major flood peak was observed at Windorah Thursday morning, with major flooding expected to continue over the weekend and into next week.
Along the Thomson River, major flooding is easing at Jundah. Upstream, moderate flooding is continuing to ease at Stonehenge and minor flooding is easing at Camoola Park and Longreach.
Along the Barcoo River, minor flooding is easing at Retreat.

Thomson River:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Thomson River at Camoola Park and Longreach. Moderate flooding is occurring at Stonehenge. Major flooding is occurring at Jundah.
The Thomson River at Camoola Park was at 2.95 m around 06:00 am Wednesday and falling, with minor flooding.
The Thomson River at Camoola Park may fall below the minor flood level (2.00 m) over the weekend.

The Thomson River at Longreach is currently at 3.63 m and falling, with minor flooding.
The Thomson River at Longreach may fall below the minor flood level (3.30 m) over the weekend.

The Thomson River at Stonehenge was at 3.25 m around 06:40 am Friday and falling, with moderate flooding.
The Thomson River at Stonehenge may remain above the moderate flood level (3.00 m) for the remainder of Friday and into Saturday. The river may remain above the minor flood level (2.00 m) into early next week.

The Thomson River at Jundah is currently at 5.35 m around 07:00 am Friday and falling, with major flooding.
The Thomson River at Jundah is likely to remain above the major flood level (5.00 m) for the remainder of Friday and into Saturday. The river may remain above the moderate flood level (4.00 m) into early next week.

Barcoo River downstream of Isisford:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Barcoo River at Retreat.
The Barcoo River at Retreat is currently at 3.99 m and falling, with minor flooding.
The Barcoo River at Retreat may remain above the minor flood level (2.14 m) over the weekend and into next week.

Cooper Creek:
Major flooding is occurring along the Cooper Creek at Windorah.
The Cooper Creek at Windorah peaked at 6.45 m around 06:30 am Thursday, with major flooding. The creek was at at 6.35 m around 06:30 am Friday and steady, with major flooding.
The Cooper Creek at Windorah may remain above the major flood level (5.00 m) over the weekend and into next week.

Moderate Flood Warning For The Diamantina River

NEAR MODERATE FLOOD PEAK POSSIBLE AT BIRDSVILLE FROM THE WEEKEND
A moderate flood peak observed at Monkira last week is approaching Birdsville, where minor flooding is occurring. Upstream at Durrie Station, a second peak is approaching and river levels are slowly rising. As these flows move downstream, further small renewed rises are likely at Roseberth and Birdsville over the next few days. River levels are likely to peak near the moderate level at Birdsville from the weekend as flows from upstream Durrie Station arrive. Peak forecasts will be refined as upstream peaks are observed.

Diamantina River to Diamantina Lakes:
The Diamantina River at Diamantina Lakes is currently at 4.66 m and rising, above the moderate flood level (4.00 m) and well above the Springvale Diamantina Lakes Road Causeway level (2.10 m).
Diamantina River downstream of Diamantina Lakes:
Moderate flooding is occurring at Roseberth Station and minor flooding is occurring at Monkira. River levels at Durrie Station and Birdsville are rising with minor flooding.
The Diamantina River at Birdsville Police Station is currently at 5.50 m and steady, with minor flooding (4.00 m).
The Diamantina River at Birdsville Police Station may peak near the moderate flood level (6.00 m) from the weekend. Peak forecasts will be refined as upstream peaks are observed.

Final Flood Warning For The Suttor River

FLOODING NO LONGER EXPECTED AT ST ANNS
Moderate rainfall during last week over parts of the Belyando and Suttor Rivers catchment caused river level rises along the Suttor River and its tributaries.
A minor flood peak was observed at St Anns on Thursday 19 March, followed by a second flood peak just below the minor flood level observed on Tuesday 24 March at St Anns.
River levels at St Anns are expected to remain below the minor flood level and flooding is no longer expected.

Belyando and Suttor Rivers to Burdekin Falls Dam:
Flooding no longer expected along the Suttor River at St Anns.
The Suttor River at St Anns peaked at 3.88 m around 08:00 am Tuesday, just below the minor level (4.00 m). The river is currently at 3.83 m and falling slowly, below the minor flood level.
The Suttor River at St Anns is expected to remain below the minor flood level (4.00 m).
