A very humid and unstable airmass is generating isolated severe thunderstorm complex producing heavy rainfall to locally intense rainfall this evening.

This warning is now cancelled.
88.0 MM WAS RECORDED AT CENTRAL WATERHOUSE IN THE 60 MINUTES TO 8:02 PM.
The Northern Territory Emergency Service advises that people should:
* avoid driving into water of unknown depth and current
* stay away from fallen power lines. They are dangerous and should always be treated as live
* stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways
