Minor To Moderate Flood Warning For The Barwon River

MODERATE FLOODING OCCURRING AT MUNGINDI
MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT MOGIL MOGIL FROM SATURDAY
Moderate flooding is occurring along the Barwon River at Mungindi as floodwaters arrive from the Weir River (QLD) and Macintyre River.
Upstream along the Weir River, a second and higher peak passed Talwood on Sunday 14 April. This peak, combined with floodwaters from the Macintyre River, may cause prolonged moderate flooding at Mungindi.
Further downstream, minor flooding is possible at Mogil Mogil around Saturday.
A minor flood warning is current for the Weir River (QLD).

Barwon River Mungindi to Collarenebri:
Moderate flooding is occurring along the Barwon River Mungindi to Collarenebri.
The Barwon River at Mungindi is currently at 6.86 metres and rising slowly, above the moderate flood level (6.70 m).
The Barwon River at Mungindi may peak near 7.00 metres over the weekend, with moderate flooding.

The Barwon River at Mogil Mogil is currently at 6.92 metres and rising, below the minor flood level (7.50 m).
The Barwon River at Mogil Mogil may reach the minor flood level during Saturday.

* Avoid being swept away. Stay out of fast-flowing creeks and storm drains.
* Never drive, ride or walk through flood water. Flood water can be deceptive and dangerous.}
