Minor To Moderate Flood Warning For The Namoi River

MODERATE FLOODING LIKELY AT GUNNEDAH OVERNIGHT FRIDAY INTO SATURDAY
Moderate rainfall has been recorded across the Peel and Namoi River catchments since Wednesday morning. Rainfall has eased since Friday morning, and no significant rainfall is forecast over the next few days.
In the Namoi River catchment, the combined flows from the Mooki River, the Peel River through Carroll Gap, and outflows from Keepit Dam are likely to cause flooding downstream at Gunnedah. Minor flooding is occurring at Gunnedah with moderate flooding likely overnight Friday into Saturday. Minor flooding is possible at Boggabri Saturday morning.
The earlier flood peak has passed downstream of Goangra and is moving towards Walgett on the Barwon River. Minor flooding is occurring at Goangra, with river levels likely to remain above the minor flood level through the weekend.

Namoi River:
Moderate flooding is likely along the Namoi River at Gunnedah. Minor flooding is occurring at Gunnedah and Goangra and possible at Boggabri.
The Namoi River at Gunnedah is currently at 7.47 m and rising, with minor flooding.
The Namoi River at Gunnedah is likely to exceed the moderate flood level (7.60 m) overnight Friday into Saturday. The river may peak near 7.70 m during Saturday, with moderate flooding.

The Namoi River at Boggabri is currently at 5.83 m and rising, below the minor flood level.
The Namoi River at Boggabri may exceed the minor flood level (7.00 m) Saturday morning. The river may reach around 7.40 m Saturday evening, with minor flooding.

The Namoi River at Goangra is currently at 6.51 m and steady, with minor flooding.
The Namoi River at Goangra is likely to remain above the minor flood level (5.50 m) through the weekend.

Minor Flood Warning For The Hawkesbury And Colo Rivers

MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT PUTTY ROAD AND NORTH RICHMOND
Flows from the Upper Nepean River, combined with outflows from Warragamba Dam, have resulted in minor flooding at North Richmond, with a peak expected early Saturday morning. Along the Colo River, a peak has now passed Putty Road, where minor flooding is estimated to be occurring.

Hawkesbury and Lower Nepean River:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Hawkesbury River at North Richmond.
The Hawkesbury River at North Richmond WPS is currently at 4.15 m and rising, with minor flooding.
The Hawkesbury River at North Richmond WPS may peak near 4.30 m early Saturday morning, with minor flooding. The river may remain above the minor flood level (3.80 m) through Saturday morning.

Colo River:
Minor flooding is estimated to be occurring along the Colo River at Putty Road. Minor flooding continues at the Upper Colo automatic gauge.
There are no current observations along the Colo River at Putty Road, however based on the nearby gauge it is estimated that the river level is above the minor flood level (2.70 m) and falling.
The Colo River at Putty Road is likely to remain above the minor flood level (2.70 m) through to Saturday morning.

MINOR FLOOD PEAK POSSIBLE AT BULGA FRIDAY EVENING
Moderate rainfall has been observed across the Wollombi Brook catchment since Wednesday. This has resulted in river level rises along the Wollombi Brook, where minor flooding is estimated to be occurring at Bulga, with a minor flood peak possible Friday evening.

Minor flooding is estimated to be occurring along the Wollombi Brook at Bulga
The Wollombi Brook at Bulga was at 2.91 m and rising at 02:15 pm Friday, below the minor flood level. No current observations are available. The river is estimated to be above the minor flood level (3.00 m).
The Wollombi Brook at Bulga may peak near 3.20 m Friday evening, with minor flooding.
