Warning to Sheep Graziers

for Northern Tablelands, Central Tablelands, Southern Tablelands, South West Slopes, Snowy Mountains and Australian Capital Territory forecast districts

Warning to Sheep Graziers for the following areas:
Northern Tablelands, Central Tablelands, Southern Tablelands, South West Slopes, Snowy Mountains and Australian Capital Territory forecast districts
Sheep graziers are warned that cold temperatures, showers and southeasterly winds are expected during Wednesday and Thursday. Areas likely to be affected include the Snowy Mountains and Australian Capital Territory forecast districts and parts of the Northern Tablelands, Central Tablelands, Southern Tablelands and South West Slopes forecast districts. There is a risk of losses of lambs and sheep exposed to these conditions.

The next warning will be issued by 5:00 am EST Thursday.

Minor Flood Warning For The Hastings River

MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT SETTLEMENT POINT ON THE HIGH TIDE THURSDAY NIGHT
The river level along the Hastings River at Settlement Point peaked below the minor flood level (1.20 m) Tuesday evening. This river level is expected to remain below the minor flood level during Wednesday. High tides have the potential to cause minor flooding along the Hastings River at Settlement Point overnight Thursday into Friday.

Hastings River:
Minor flooding may occur along the Hastings River.

The Hastings River at Settlement Point peaked at around 1.04 metres late Tuesday and is currently at 0.02 metres and falling with the tide, below the minor flood level (1.20 m).
Hastings River at Settlement Point is expected to peak below the minor flood level late Wednesday, on the high tide. The river level may reach the minor flood level Thursday night, on the high tide.

Flood Safety Advice:
In life threatening emergencies, call 000 (triple zero) immediately. If you require rescue, assistance to evacuate or other emergency help, ring NSW SES on 132 500.
*Avoid drowning. Stay out of rising water, seek refuge in the highest available place.
*Prevent damage to your vehicle. Move it under cover, away from areas likely to flood.
*Avoid being swept away. Stay out of fast-flowing creeks and storm drains.
*Never drive, ride or walk through flood water. Flood water can be deceptive and dangerous.}
