MAJOR FLOODING EXPECTED AT WINDSOR MONDAY MORNING WITH RIVER LEVELS POSSIBLY REACHING AROUND THE MARCH 2021 AND MARCH 2022 FLOOD LEVELS

MAJOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT MENANGLE WHERE RIVER LEVELS PEAKED SLIGHTLY BELOW THE APRIL 2022 FLOOD LEVEL
Heavy rainfall over the Nepean Valley since Saturday morning coupled with high dam levels have resulted in major flooding in the Nepean River at Menangle where river levels have exceeded the flood level recorded during the March 2022 flood event (15.92 metres) and peaked slightly below the April 2022 flood level (16.83 metres).
Further downstream, spills from Warragamba Dam combined with inflows from the Upper Nepean River have caused major flooding at North Richmond where river levels peaked slightly below the March 2021 flood level (14.38 metres).
Flood levels at Windsor are likely to reach around the flood levels recorded during the March 2021 and March 2022 flood events.
Flood levels at Sackville and downstream are likely to be lower than March 2022 flood levels.
A Severe Weather Warning for heavy rainfall is current for the Metropolitan, Illawarra, parts of Hunter and Central Tablelands Forecast Districts.
Upper Nepean River:
Major flooding is occurring along the Upper Nepean at Menangle and Wallacia. Moderate flooding is occurring at Camden.
The Nepean River at Menangle Bridge peaked at 16.61 metres around 07:50 am Sunday 03 July and is currently at 13.36 metres and steady, with major flooding.
The Nepean River at Camden Weir peaked at 12.72 metres around 02:00 pm Sunday and is currently at 11.72 metres and falling, with moderate flooding.
The Nepean River at Wallacia Weir peaked at 13.84 metres around 02:45 am Monday 04 July and is currently at 13.78 metres and falling, with major flooding.
Hawkesbury and Lower Nepean River:
Moderate flooding is occurring at Penrith and Major flooding is occurring at North Richmond. Moderate flooding is occurring at Windsor, with major flooding expected. Minor flooding is occurring at Sackville and Moderate flooding is occurring at Lower Portland, with Major flooding possible at Sackville, Lower Portland and Wisemans Ferry.
The Nepean River at Penrith peaked at 9.51 metres around 02:00 am Monday 04 July and is currently at 8.90 metres and falling, with moderate flooding.
The Hawkesbury River at North Richmond (WPS) peaked at 14.18 metres around 03:15 am Monday 04 July and is currently at 14.11 metres and falling, with major flooding.
The Hawkesbury River at Windsor (WPS) may reach around 13.30 metres Monday afternoon, with major flooding.
The Hawkesbury River at Sackville is likely to exceed the moderate flood level (7.30 metres) around 07:00 am Monday. The river level may reach the major flood level (9.70 metres) Tuesday morning.
The Hawkesbury River at Lower Portland may reach the major flood level (7.60 metres) Monday afternoon.
The Hawkesbury River at Wisemans Ferry may reach the major flood level (4.20 metres) during Tuesday.
Colo River:
Moderate flooding is occurring along the Colo River.
The Colo River at Putty Road may reach around 8.50 metres late Monday morning, with moderate flooding. Further rises are possible.

MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT COTTONS WEIR MONDAY EVENING
Moderate rainfall recorded across the Lachlan catchment has caused river level rises along the Lachlan River and its tributaries. Minor flooding is possible along the Lachlan River at Cottons Weir Monday evening.
Minor flooding continues along the Lachlan River at Booligal, where river levels are rising slowly.
Lachlan River downstream of Wyangala Dam to Jemalong Weir:
Minor flooding may occur along the Lachlan River at Cottons Weir.
The Lachlan River at Cottons Weir may reach the minor flood level (3.50 metres) Monday evening. Further rises are possible.
Lower Lachlan River downstream of Euabalong to Booligal Weir:
Minor flooding continues along the Lachlan River at Booligal.
Renewed river rises are likely at Booligal Weir, where river levels may reach 2.70 metres around mid July, with minor flooding.

Warning to Sheep Graziers for the following areas:
Mid North Coast, Hunter, Northern Tablelands, Illawarra, South Coast, Central Tablelands, Southern Tablelands, North West Slopes & Plains, Central West Slopes & Plains, Snowy Mountains and Australian Capital Territory forecast districts
Sheep graziers are warned that cold temperatures, rain and showers and southerly winds are expected during Monday. Areas likely to be affected include the Hunter, Illawarra, Central Tablelands, Southern Tablelands, Snowy Mountains and Australian Capital Territory forecast districts and parts of the Mid North Coast, Northern Tablelands, South Coast, North West Slopes & Plains and Central West Slopes & Plains forecast districts. RENEWED MINOR FLOODING LIKELY AT NOWRA AND TERARA FROM LATE MONDAY MORNING
Moderate to heavy rainfall since Friday has caused minor flooding along the Shoalhaven River, where river levels peaked during Sunday.
Renewed rises and minor flooding are likely from Monday morning along the Shoalhaven River at Nowra and Terara.
Further rainfall is forecast during Monday into Tuesday, which may cause further river level rises and prolonged flooding. This situation is being closely monitored, and revised predictions will be provided as necessary.
A Severe Weather Warning for heavy rainfall is current for the Metropolitan, Illawarra, and parts of the Hunter and Central Tablelands Forecast Districts.
Shoalhaven River:
Renewed minor flooding is likely along the Shoalhaven River.
The Shoalhaven River at Nowra (AHD) is likely to exceed the minor flood level (2.30 metres) around 09:00 am Monday. The river level may reach near 3.00 metres around Monday night, with minor flooding. Further rises are possible.
The Shoalhaven River at Terara is likely to exceed the minor flood level (2.20 metres) around 10:00 am Monday. The river level may reach near 2.60 metres around Monday night, with minor flooding. Further rises are possible.
