Warning to Sheep Graziers

for Northern Tablelands, Central Tablelands, Southern Tablelands, South West Slopes, Snowy Mountains and Australian Capital Territory forecast districts

Warning to Sheep Graziers for the following areas:
Northern Tablelands, Central Tablelands, Southern Tablelands, South West Slopes, Snowy Mountains and Australian Capital Territory forecast districts
Sheep graziers are warned that cold temperatures, showers and southeasterly winds are expected during Monday and Tuesday. Areas likely to be affected include the Snowy Mountains and Australian Capital Territory forecast districts and parts of the Northern Tablelands, Central Tablelands, Southern Tablelands and South West Slopes forecast districts. There is a risk of losses of lambs and sheep exposed to these conditions.

The next warning will be issued by 11:00 am EST Monday.

Moderate Flood Warning For The Namoi River

MODERATE FLOODING POSSIBLE AT GOANGRA DURING SUNDAY
The main peak along the Namoi River is now around Goangra, where river levels may exceed the moderate flood level during Sunday. River levels may peak at Goangra from late Sunday into Monday.

Namoi River:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Namoi River and moderate flooding is possible.
The Namoi River at Bugilbone is currently at 4.95 m and falling, with minor flooding.
The Namoi River at Bugilbone may fall below the minor flood level (4.90 m) during late Sunday.

The Namoi River at Goangra is currently at 6.67 m and rising slowly, with minor flooding.
The Namoi River at Goangra may exceed the moderate flood level (6.70 m) during Sunday 17 August. The river may reach around 7.00 m overnight Sunday into Monday, with moderate flooding.

Flood Safety Advice:
Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
