Severe thunderstorms have eased across New South Wales.
Weather Situation
An upper-level trough combined with a warm and unstable airmass to produce severe thunderstorms Saturday afternoon and evening.
cancellation of severe thunderstorm warning for the following areas:
Hunter, Metropolitan, Central Tablelands, North West Slopes and Plains, Central West Slopes and Plains and Upper Western
Severe thunderstorms have eased. This warning is now cancelled. Isolated thunderstorms are continuing about the Upper Western, North West Slopes and Plains, Hunter and Snow Mountains at time of issue and may redevelop over the northeast of the state this evening. Further severe thunderstorms may occur this evening. Severe thunderstorm warnings will be issued if required.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Keep clear of fallen power lines.
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
* Don't walk, ride your bike or drive through flood water.
* Stay vigilant and monitor conditions. Note that the landscape may have changed following bushfires.
* For emergency help in floods and storms, ring the SES (NSW and ACT) on 132 500.
No further warnings will be issued for this event.
