Final Flood Warning For The Nepean River

FLOODING NO LONGER OCCURRING AT MENANGLE
Rainfall has now ceased across the Nepean River catchment and no significant rainfall is forecast for the next few days. The Nepean River fell below the minor flood level at Menangle overnight Thursday into Friday. A small spill is occurring at Warragamba Dam, however the spill is not expected to cause any further flooding downstream.

Upper Nepean River:
Flooding is no longer occurring along the Upper Nepean River.
The Nepean River at Menangle Bridge is currently at 3.84 m and falling, below the minor flood level.
The Nepean River at Menangle Bridge is expected to remain below the minor flood level (5.20 m).

The Nepean River at Wallacia Weir peaked at 2.89 m around 08:45 pm Thursday 11 September, below the minor flood level. The river is currently at 2.35 m and falling, below the minor flood level.
The Nepean River at Wallacia Weir is expected to remain below the minor flood level (5.00 m).

Hawkesbury and Lower Nepean River:
Flooding is no longer expected along the Hawkesbury and Lower Nepean River.
The Hawkesbury River at North Richmond WPS is currently at 2.43 m and approaching a peak, below the minor flood level.
The Hawkesbury River at North Richmond WPS is expected to remain below the minor flood level (3.80 m).

Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.

Final Flood Warning For The Cooks River

FLOODING NO LONGER EXPECTED AT TEMPE BRIDGE
Moderate rainfall was observed in the Cooks River catchment since Wednesday morning, causing river level rises along the Cooks River. Tempe Bridge is now around a flood peak below the minor flood level. No further significant rainfall is forecast for the next few days.

Cooks River:
Flooding is no longer expected along the Cooks River at Tempe Bridge.

The Cooks River at Tempe Bridge is currently at 1.08 m AHD and around a peak with the high tide, below the minor flood level.
The Cooks River at Tempe Bridge is expected to remain below the minor flood level (1.30 m AHD).

Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.
Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.

FLOODING NO LONGER EXPECTED AT LIVERPOOL AND MILPERRA
Moderate to heavy rainfall has been observed over the Georges River catchment during the last 24 hours, causing river level rises along the Georges River. A below minor peak was observed at Liverpool Thursday morning, and a below minor peak is forecast for Milperra Bridge around midday Thursday. No further significant rainfall is forecast for the next few days.

Georges River:
Minor flooding is no longer expected along the Georges River.
The Georges River at Liverpool peaked at 1.81 m around 08:45 am Thursday, below the minor flood level. The river is currently at 1.78 m and steady, below the minor flood level.
The Georges River at Liverpool is likely to remain below the minor flood level (2.00 m).

The Georges River at Milperra is currently at 1.18 m AHD and rising, below the minor flood level.
The Georges River at Milperra is likely to peak just below the minor flood level (2.00 m AHD) on the high tide around midday Thursday.
