Minor Flood Warning For The Latrobe River

MINOR FLOODING CONTINUING AT ROSEDALE
Minor flooding at Rosedale is expected to persist over the weekend.
In the Latrobe River catchment, rainfall totals of between 5 and 10 mm, with some isolated totals of 20 mm in higher areas, have been recorded in the 24 hours to 9am Saturday. This rainfall has not caused any significant stream rises, and no additional flooding is expected. No significant rainfall is expected over the weekend.
Latrobe River upstream of Yallourn:
River levels in the Latrobe River at Willow Grove are below the minor flood level. No further flooding is expected for this event.
River levels in the Moe River are below the minor flood level. No further flooding is expected for this event.
River levels in the Tanjil River are below the minor flood level. No further flooding is expected for this event.
The Morwell River at Boolara is below the minor flood level. No further flooding is expected for this event.
Latrobe River Yallourn to Traralgon Creek:
The Latrobe River at Thoms Bridge is below the minor flood level. No further flooding is expected for this event.
Latrobe River downstream of Traralgon:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Latrobe River downstream of Traralgon.
The Latrobe River at Rosedale (Main Stream) is currently at 4.43 metres and steady, with minor flooding.
The Latrobe River at Rosedale (Main Stream) is expected to remain above the minor flood level (4.00 m) during Saturday and into Sunday.
Flood Safety Advice:
SES advises that all community members should:
Never walk, ride or drive through floodwater,
Never allow children to play in floodwater,
Stay away from waterways and stormwater drains during and after heavy rain,
Keep well clear of fallen power lines
Be aware that in fire affected areas, rainfall run-off into waterways may contain debris such as ash, soil, trees and rocks, and heavy rainfall increases the potential for landslides and debris across roads.}
