Minor Flood Warning For The South Esk River

MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT FINGAL AND LLEWELLYN AND LIKELY TO DEVELOP AT PERTH
Minor flooding is occurring along the South Esk River about Llewellyn and Fingal. Minor flooding may develop around Perth on Sunday.
Since 9:00 am Saturday, no significant rainfall totals were recorded in the South Esk River catchment. No further significant rainfall is forecast for the remainder of the weekend.
Strong and dangerous flows will be a hazard over the coming days.
Break O'Day River:
River levels are elevated along the Break O'Day River.
South Esk River above Fingal:
River levels are elevated along the upper South Esk River above Fingal.
St Pauls River:
High river levels are occurring along the St Pauls River.
Automatic water level data are not currently available at Lewis Hill. Indications are that the river may have fallen below the minor flood level (1.7 m) during Saturday morning.
South Esk River - Fingal to Llewellyn:
Minor flooding is occurring along the South Esk River - Fingal to Llewellyn.
The South Esk River at Fingal peaked at 5.38 metres around 04:30 pm Friday 18 June and is currently at 4.65 metres and falling.
The South Esk River at Fingal may fall below the minor flood level (4.00 m) Sunday morning.
The South Esk River at Llewellyn peaked at 5.10 metres around 07:00 am Saturday 19 June and is currently at 4.89 metres and falling.
The South Esk River at Llewellyn may fall below the minor flood level (4.00 m) Sunday afternoon.
River levels are elevated along the Nile River.
South Esk River - Llewellyn to Perth:
Minor flooding is likely along the South Esk River - Llewellyn to Perth.
The South Esk at Perth is currently at 3.16 metres and steady.
The South Esk at Perth is likely to exceed the minor flood level (4.30 m) overnight Saturday into Sunday. The river level may peak near 4.60 metres Sunday morning.
South Esk River - Perth to Longford:
Renewed river rises and areas of minor flooding are expected along the South Esk River - Perth to Longford.
Flooding is likely to extend into lower Meander River around Westwood Bridge due to floodwater from the South Esk.
The South Esk River at Longford is currently at 1.62 metres and steady.
The South Esk River at Longford may reach the minor flood level (3.50 m) Sunday afternoon.
South Esk River around Hadspen and Lake Trevallyn:
Minor flooding may occur along the South Esk River around Hadspen and Lake Trevallyn.
The South Esk River at Trevallyn Pond is currently at 127.13 metres and steady.
The South Esk River at Trevallyn Pond may reach the minor flood level (128.20 m) overnight Sunday into Monday.
