Severe Thunderstorm Warning - Southeast Queensland
for Sunshine Coast, Brisbane City and Moreton Bay Council Areas.

Severe thunderstorms have moved offshore of the Sunshine Coast.
Warning for the following areas:
Sunshine Coast, Brisbane City and Moreton Bay
Severe thunderstorms in the warning area have temporarily eased. However, the redevelopment of severe thunderstorms remains possible. Showers and thunderstorms tending to periods of rain over the next few hours. The situation is being closely monitored and further detailed warnings will be issued as necessary.
46 mm was recorded at Bellevue Bay in the 30 minutes to 10:45 pm.
Cancellation for the following areas:
Brisbane,Sunshine Coast,Moreton Bay
Emergency services advise people to:
* Never drive, walk, play or ride through floodwater. It is dangerous.
* Stay away from storm water drains.
* Stay away from fallen powerlines.
* Drive slowly and never drive through floodwaters. If the road is flooded or damaged, go another way.

A more general severe thunderstorm warning is also current for parts of the Central Highlands and Coalfields, Maranoa and Warrego, Darling Downs and Granite Belt, Southeast Coast and Wide Bay and Burnett districts.
The next warning is due to be issued by 2:00 am.
